PYF of NJ and NY is an organization of Pentecostal Young People who are members of Malayalee Pentecostal churches in the New Jersey and New York area. Since its establishment in 1989, this fellowship has been successful in promoting unity among believers and churches, which are affiliated with different Pentecostal organizations. It has played an important role in the spiritual growth of many young people in this area. In a multi-cultured modern society, challenges and peer-pressure surmounting our young people, faced with questions and doubts on Christian orthodox values and biblical principles of holiness and true doctrines. The comparative influences of liberal media and ideological thinking has created damaging reasoning in young minds on onerous issues like family values and coping with rich Malayalee Christian culture. The need and role of the fellowship of united Malayalee Pentecostal Churches are priceless for our young generation.

During the years, many people committed their lives to the Lord, were filled and baptized in the Holy Spirit, and dedicated their lives to serve the Lord. Seminars led by youth leaders focused on addressing the issues and challenges of youths, families, and community as a whole in a non-denominational but scriptural viewpoint; for which experts in the field were brought in to discuss, teach, and edify one another. Each year the fellowship starts with fasting and prayer then followed by revival meetings. Three-day conferences, talent competition, sports day, picnics and youth conventions are several of the many activities conducted during each year.

Currently thirteen member churches actively participate in every program of the fellowship. Pastors, parents, brothers and sisters get together to worship the Lord in truth and in spirit in the spirit of oneness experiencing the biblical truth – “how beautiful it is for brethren to dwell together in unity”.

The fellowship was blessed with exclusive and commendable leadership of many eminent youth leaders over the years.
